Molina Healthcare Intern, Government Contracts (Remote on Central Time Zone) in Massachusetts
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
The Molina Healthcare Internship Program shares an objective to create a steppingstone for students who aim to be professionals and future leaders in the healthcare business profession. Interns are assigned special projects and various other duties that are intended to provide them with valuable professional work experience and industry insight. The purpose of an internship is to develop talent by providing students with experiential learning, formal training and opportunities to interact with healthcare professionals and community leaders. Interns will perform meaningful work alongside talented professionals, gaining insight to Molina’s culture, Mission and Values.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to coordinate, conduct and/or respond to research requests pertaining to government healthcare programs.
Ability to work on special projects which may include special research projects, coordination and tracking of projects/initiatives, generating and quality review of state reports.
Ability to review information received from government contracting agencies and regulators and disseminates to impacted Plan staff.
Participates in meetings related to Molina government run programs and document, track and disseminate relevant information to staff and management.
Support the maintenance of department documents within GC Share Point.
Ability to work with GC leads on initiatives that may include the development and review reports, policy research, and project tracking and coordination, as needed.
Preferred Experience
Must possess clear and professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong work ethic, self-motivated and ability to develop relationships.
Good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills required
Computer experience including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and experience with internet research.
Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Candidate must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program as a current freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and pursuing a Bachelor's degree with preference in the following areas – Business Administrations/Management, Health Policy, Project Management and related degrees.
Candidate must possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Pay Range: $20.29 - $21.66 / HOURLY
